English singer and songwriter, born Beverley Kutner who started in a Coventry jug band (The Levee Breakers) and recorded solo with some of London's leading session players before landing a contract with Warner Brothers.
By that stage she had married, and the sessions for her first solo album ended up as a duo. After the birth of her second child, she focussed on the children while her husband's career took off, and effectively retired from music after the couple divorced in 1980. She resumed her musical career in the 1990s. Interesting. File under: Needs Further Investigation.
