Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown

Gatemouth Brown... a remarkable and innovative musician. He bristles at being pigeonholed as a "blues" musician, or as any stylist, and prefers to call himself a purveyor of American music. Fair enough: versatile at fiddle, accordion, drums, and guitar, and having performed jazz, blues, zydeco and even country with aplomb, skill, and wit, Brown's assessment of his work is astonishingly accurate, if not particularly modest.
