The CD era flow of reissues, compilations and BBC recordings indicates the on-going viability of the brand name, and all five original Zombies reunited at a Blundstone solo show at London's Jazz Cafe on 25 November 1997, playing (predictably) "She's Not There" and "Time of the Season".

in 2001 Argent and Blunstone reunited to tour as Blunstone & Argent, producing an album (Out Of The Darkness) and touring together until 2004 when they resumed using The Zombies in a lineup that included Argent's cousin Jim Rodford (ex-Kinks and Argent), his son Steve on drums and Keith Airey on guitar. The outfit delivered an album in 2004, and after the death of guitarist Paul Atkinson  the same year, the surviving members of the original band delivered a three-night series of concerts at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire in March 2008 to mark the fortieth anniversary of Odessey and Oracle with the 8 March concert recorded for a CD and DVD release.

Working as "The Zombies featuring Colin Blunstone & Rod Argent" the band continues to tour (with a change of guitarists, with a new album of studio material (Breathe Out, Breathe In) with gigs in The band tour the US and Canada, The Netherlands, France, Germany and Britain and travelling as far afield as Japan, Greece and Israel.
