Prolific Hamburg outfit that pre-dated The Beatles era and built up a substantial local fan base before being booked into a rsidency at the Star Club in 1963. Their early records appeared on the club's own label, They went on to become one of Germany's most successful rock groups. By the seventies a psychedelicised incarnation had a substantial hit in Germany with The Witch. Acceptable. File under: Big on the Continent.
