The Rubaiyats had one single for the Sansu label in 1966. Both sides, "Omar Khayyam" and "Tomorrow," were written by Allen Toussaint and both are New Orleans soul with duo male vocals; "Omar Khayyam" shows an up-tempo Motown influence and "Tomorrow" is much sultrier. It has been speculated that the Rubaiyats were Allen Toussaint himself and Willie Harper and the same as the duo of Willie & Allen, who also did one single for Sansu in 1966.(AllMusic)
