Ken Parker started his singing career in The Blues Benders in 1965, but by 1967 he was working solo act, recording for most of the Jamaican producers of the day, including Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid, Bunny Lee, Rupie Edwards, Byron Lee, Joe Gibbs, and Lloyd Charmers. After he became disillusioned with the workings of the Jamaican music scene he relocated to the U.K., where he has his own label and production company. Acceptable. File under: Jamaican Voices.
