So, What Is It?

VinylA very good question, and one that continues to provide food for thought on the morning walk.

In a nutshell, it's everything that has caught and held my attention through the past fifty years. Starting around 1965 with classic mid-sixties quality radio-friendly pop and moving onwards and outwards from there.

Such matters receive a lengthy analysis in Reflections and Reminiscences. From that starting point, things branched out. Gradually. Into folk and folk-rock, blues, classic soul and R&B and psychedelia. That took things into the seventies.  Some jazz, classic rock & roll, southern boogie, reggae, British pub rock, punk and new wave went in through the seventies. And assorted strands of world music from Africa, South America and the Caribbean went in through the eighties, nineties and noughties.

I think that covers it. More or less..But only if it caught and held my attention.
