What Isn't?

If someone who might appear to be a likely suspect doesn't appear here, at the moment, there is always the possibility that they might in the future. There are any number of favourites who, for one reason or another, have yet to produce a Review, Rear View or Retrospective.

And if, for whatever reason, I haven't heard something or someone, it's not likely to attract and hold my attention. That accounts for any number of performers from the eighties onwards.  Earlier, there are acts that came under notice but, for some reason, failed to hold my attention. Usually because they either stopped being interesting (Rod Stewart) or slipped past because they didn't relate that well to my current interests (Roxy Music and David Bowie).

Alternatively, they may figure on the substantial list of artists, genres and influences that need investigating.

There are, on the other hand, any number of artists and genres that I find insignificant, inconsequential or irrelevant. No names, no pack drill, but it's hard to focus on things you tend not to notice.

Along the way over the last five decades, there have been a number of things that have, for one reason or another riled me. Somewhere between minor irritation and what we might term Hessian underpants, as in impossible to wear.

So, despite the fact that Hughesy is a big Neil Young fan, you'll find no reference to Crosby Stills Nash and Young. One of the other three is inconsequential, even if he does sing rather well while the other two I find irritating, one of them almost hessian underpants.
