Long John Hunter

Long John Hunter

Long John Hunter's brand of El Paso Rock is the result of a 20-year residency in the notorious border town of Juaraz, Mexico, where he was backed up by a Mexican band who couldn't speak English, but responded accordingly to his wild guitar antics. A massive influence on virtually every Southwest musician from Buddy Holly to Bobby Fuller, members of Fuller's Fanatics recall heading over the border to soak up the insanity of Long John swinging from the rafters while he wailed away on his Fender Stratocaster.
