Jeanne & The Darlings

Jeanne & The Darlings

Jeanne & The Darlings were a group of Arkansas-based, gospel-raised singers which included sisters Jeanne (also spelled Jean) and Dee Dolphus, Jeanne’s daughter Paula, and family friend Phefe Harris. In addition to their service as background studio singers at Stax, they released six great 45s of their own on Volt in the late 1960s. (DiscogsAcceptable. File under: Stax/Volt Back Room
