Bowen > Whitsunday Coast > Brisbane

After a day at home I was ready for the second leg of the concert odyssey, though a bit more down time between legs would have gone down fairly well. Actually, as I remarked in the car on the way back down to Whitsunday Coast, if I'd done the research bit a little more thoroughly I could have headed to Bruce in Brisbane on Thursday, jetted down to Melbourne for the show at Rod Laver Arena Friday, back to Brisbane on Saturday, Bruce again that night, on to Sydney Sunday and Another Bruce show on Monday.

That, however, is (according to a certain observer) beyond Hughesy's stamina level these days.

Jetstar JQ 833 was the regulation fifteen minutes late and diverted into a holding pattern once we were in the southeast corner, so we were a bit late onto the ground. Having arrived we grabbed a bite to eat in the terminal and headed across to the Air Train terminal, bought a couple of Go Cards and settled into free WiFi mode for the run through to Roma Street where we'd be transferring to the Ipswich line and alighting at Goodna to catch up with the Ex-Neighbours, Wo Wo Boy and the Little Tacker.

There was a while to wait at Goodna while the juniors went from school to karate classes, and once we'd made our way to Springfield Lakes it was catch up time, so there was not a whole lot of Neil or Bruce content once the descriptions of people whose activities are far more fanatical than Hughesy were out of the way.

Dinner came from the Punjab Curry Club, washed down with a Draytons Verdelho and a Verse 1 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and I was in bed by none, happily pushing up Zs and totally unaware of what was unfolding in Melbourne.
