Day Eleven: Hobart > MONA > Hobart

Thursday, 31 October 2013

Statue.jpgEarly to bed, early to rise keeps a man healthy, and while we're not exactly wealthy, we're pretty well off, particularly when it comes to having time to filling in the missing bits of travelogue. Wise? Judge for yourself.

Actually there was a solid chunk of Travelogue in the bag by the time Madam deigned to greet the new day, and while there was no great urgency, we needed to hit the frog and toad well before MONA Roma departure time at eleven.

Having compiled a substantial bucket list of places to eat in Hobart the morning's breakfast option, over in the same historic precinct as last night's dinner venue, involved a twenty minute walk, with extra delays for photographic action anticipated before an eleven o'clock departure for MONA.

The breakfast venue just down the road from last night’s dinner option was Jackman & McRoss. When we landed in Daci & Daci the previous morning I’d been gobsmacked (and I use the term deliberately) by the breathtaking array of tasty options and, lo and behold, here was another one.

Comparisons are, as they say, odious. If I was going to make one as far as the visual opulence is concerned I’d give it to Daci & Daci (purely, I suspect, on the basis of we went there first).
