As indicated earlier, we were restricted to carry on luggage this time around, and had accidentally happened to fly down on Virgin (7kg limit) and back on Jetstar, where you've got an extra 3kg (assuming anyone was likely to check).
So there was one limiting factor.
Last time around I'd racked up a reasonably hefty purchase by working through the Australian section and then into the mainstream, getting as far as Robert Palmer and Graham Parker before I decided to call a halt. On that basis, starting around Pa seemed like a good idea and I made my way through the rest of the alphabet and around the rest of the shop without looking too carefully, managing, in the process, to limit the damage to a relatively modest $180.
Having done that, with a selection of disks I didn't expect to find on iTunes I headed back for an afternoon power nap before the evening's proceedings.
We headed back out around six, looking for something to eat before a concert that started at 7:30, but still reasonably close to sated from the past couple of days' indulgences. We could have headed next door to the Art House, but turned left instead of right and found ourselves in a Japanese serve yourself style operation (sushi, sashimi and such passing along a conveyor belt in front of you, grab what takes your fancy) which suited Madam rather nicely. I was actually disinclined to eat anything, but, aware that was an inadvisable option, limited myself to a couple of skewers of yakitori chicken, which were enough to keep me going well into Friday.
In any case, I wanted to get to the State early, not quite as soon as they opened the doors to the venue, but early enough to give The Photographer a clear run at the ornate interior before the bulk of the crowd started to filter in. While she snapped away I indulged in a 50 Lashes while scoping out the contents of the merch stall, where a dreadlocked guitar-playing Dr. John t-shirt caught my eye, but not for $40, thank you very much.
We ended up inside reasonably early, early enough to ascertain the demographic was considerably older than the previous night's. The auditorium was still mostly unoccupied when a youngish couple passed by, reducing the average age by about a day. It was that sort of crowd.
