Monuments and Seals

Seals.jpgPassing Bridge Rock it’s off to The Friars, and further up close and personal, this time with colonies of male fur seals on the island group named by Tobias Furneaux in the Adventure in March 1773.

The return trip took us further offshore, scanning the waters for whale sightings and catching glimpses of various sea birds, with the occasional albatross and swarms of shirt-tailed shearwaters, and a couple of dolphins who decided to give us an escort part of the way back to base.
