P.M. Newton

After a thirteen year spell in the New South Wales Police where she was involved with Drug Enforcement, Sexual Assault, Major Crime, Arts graduate P.M. Newton set out in search of something different, ending up in India studying Buddhism and teaching English to Tibetan refugees via Mali, listening to and writing about music before heading home with the ideas that ended up forming the plot line of The Old School.

Read:

  • The Old School, her first (and, so far only) novel, which starts with the discovery of two skeletons in the footings of an apartment block that’s in the process of being demolished and takes Detective Nhu ‘Ned’ Kelly on a trip back into her own family’s history as she sets about finding what linked two seemingly disparate identities with her parents’ murder. Good read.
