Quality wines that I didn’t expect to get to, and when I did there were factors that prompted a rushed approach. which explains the perfunctory notes.
2009 Element Classic White (4/5 $14) Classic White Fresh blend of Chenin Blanc, Verdelho and Semillon. Consider as a summer drinking style.
2008 Element Chardonnay (4/5 $14) Lightly oaked, medium-bodied.
2010 Margaret River Range Classic Dry White SSB (4/5 $20) Easy drinking.
2010 Margaret River Range Rose (3/5 $20) Slightly sweet but good length and balance.
2009 Margaret River Range Shiraz (4/5 $20) Medium-bodied peppery style.
2009 Estate Reserve Verdelho (4/5 $25) Crisp tropical fruits. Consider.
2009 Estate Reserve Chardonnay (4/5 $35) Stone fruit characters and oak elements. Hmmm.
2007 Estate Reserve Shiraz (4.5/5 $35) Lighter medium-bodied style with depth.
2007 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (4.5/5 $45) Attractive Margaret River cabernet with textured tannins and good length.
2008 Sandalford Botrytis (4.5/5 $20) Very good sticky.
For a mixed dozen, six of the 2009 Element Classic White, three of the Verdelho, singles of the other three Estate Reserves. That'd be $274. Dunno.
