We knew about Verse 1, but wanted to try the Estate range.

2009 Verse 1 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc (4/5 $18) Refreshing style with plenty of grass and tropical fruit.

2009 Verse 1 Chardonnay (4/5 $18) Lightly oaked fruity style. One to watch for on wine lists.

2008 Verse 1 Cabernet Merlot (4/5 $18) Nice easy drinking style. Another one to watch for on wine lists.

2008 Verse 1 Shiraz (4/5 $18) Well made.

2008 Verse 1 Rose (4.5/5 $18) Merlot predominant blend that's a definite summer possibility.

All Verse 1 lines $172.80/case.

2007 Estate Range Sauvignon Blanc  (4/5 $30/$27 in a case) Aromatic nose and varietal flavours.

2006 Estate Range Semillon (4.5/5 $38/$34.20 in a case) Wonderful. Balanced citrus that goes on and on. Definitely one to look for.

2009 Estate Range Chardonnay (4.5/5 $40/ $36 in a case) As above, but more stone fruit than citrus. Could definitely go for this one.

2008 Estate Range Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot (4.5/5 $45/ $40.50 in a case) Great nose, full-bodied and luscious across the palate.

2003 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (5/5 $70/ $63 in a case) Great nose, medium bodied and runs off into the distance. Would like to be able to afford it, but would need to find room in the cellar fridge.

Great range, but widespread availability of the Verse 1 range means I’m inclined to look for these wines when we’re out rather than buying for home consumption. The Rose could have been a possibility but that field is starting to get rather crowded.
