Garrison Keillor
Those who know Garrison Keillor from A Prairie Home Companion or Garrison Keillor's Radio Show will probably know exactly what to expect from titles that include the words Lake Wobegon.
Read:
Pilgrims: A Wobegon Romance, which takes the Lake Wobegon crowd along with writer/radio personality Gary Keillor to Rome, where local high school teacher Margie Krebsbach wants to place a photo on the grave of supposed war hero Gussie Norlander. Those familiar with Keillor’s monologues will know more or less what to expect, though things aren’t quite what they seem on the surface. I picked this one up from the display section of Bowen Library, and while I’m not going to be going out of my way to chase down the other titles it was a pleasant enough read.
