Part of the thinking behind having recognizably Hughesy David Herston and recognizably Lester Gordon Jeffrey use their financial windfall to buy a motel and convert it into private living quarters was to provide the equivalent of the English country house setting you find in P.G. Wodehouse novels, and calling the first in a possible series Dirty Work at the Crossroads offered the possibility of sequels called Desperate Days, Damnable Deeds and Deviant Derring-do
