Born and raised in Kansas City, Spoelstra moved from Los Angeles to New York City in time to take part in the early sixties' folk music revival in and around Greenwich Village. He performed with Dylan, contributed to Broadside Magazine and recorded several albums for Folkways Records and other labels. Interesting: File under: Greenwich Village Identities.
