Iconic in their own way, and a guilty pleasure in these parts for well over forty years. Mileages will vary, but over the years the interplay between Duane Allman and Dickey Betts has remained one of the benchmarks for stellar guitar pyrotechnics. Dickie diehards will dispute the suggestion, but having carried on as the band's single guitarist after Duane's untimely passing, Betts' good fortune in finding Warren Haynes, Jack Pearson and Derek Trucks to spark off in a return to the twin lead configuration helped conceal the fall-off in his own playing in the years leading up to his ouster in 2000.At their best, Iconic. Mountain Jam!
